Lesotho, officially the Kingdom of Lesotho, is a landlocked country completely surrounded by its only neighbouring country, South Africa. It is just over 30,000 sq km (11,583 sq mi) in size and has a population a little over two million. The name Lesotho translates roughly into “the land of the people who speak Sesotho”.
Since 2002 various churches in South Africa have been working in Lesotho, assisting communities through several projects. In this way Lesotho Mission was established. The primary focus of the work is to reach people for Christ through planting strong, local churches of influence throughout as many of the villages, towns and cities of Lesotho as possible. The work is currently focused on the cluster of villages surrounding rural Semonkong, the student city of Roma and Lesotho’s capital city Maseru.
Join us as we serve the people of this beautiful country; sow into their young leaders, minister to those in rural villages and urban towns, aid and facilitate learning at local shepherd schools and engage in university ministry.
