What is our LOVE SOMEBODY campaign?
Thousands of children are growing up with a limited, sometimes warped perception of family due to the social troubles surrounding them, including poverty, insecurity, abuse and HIV/AIDS. We have an opportunity to change that, and during 2012, Preferred Future would like to highlight the plight of orphaned and vulnerable children through our LOVE SOMEBODY campaign.
Just R250 a month can radically change the course of a child’s life.
The LOVE SOMEBODY campaign also aims to raise committed yearly financial support for orphans and vulnerable children who are cared for through our partner projects in South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya and Lesotho.
How can you get involved?
For individuals:
- Every person has the opportunity to give directly to Preferred Future or sponsor a specific child for only R250 per month.
As a church or business:
- Your church or business can choose to sponsor a specific number of children.
Once-off gifts:
- Once-off donations are always welcome and will be used where there is the greatest need in the region.
Where does your money go?
Donations go towards the following:
- Food and nutrition
- Education
- Health – preventative and first aid
- Water and sanitation
